Police say on Sunday 16th June between 4pm and 9pm, it is believed two males aged around 12-14 years old have been on a sand quarry situated on the outskirts of Higher Kinnerton.

Whilst on the sand quarry it is suspected they have used a scaffolding board to smash the cab windows of a Komatsu excavator and then moved onto a parked wagon and smashed the windows to the cab of that as well.

PC Dave Allen from the Rural Crime Team said: “Can I ask all parents in the local community to please be aware of this incident, to consider the safety implications of being upon a working quarry and also think – did your child come home on Sunday with sand on their clothing and footwear”

“If you witnessed any of the event or have any further information to offer the team, we can be contacted via 101 or live web chat quoting ref Q087851
