Following the success of last week’s Twitter takeover, Cllr Mark Pritchard, Lead Member for Housing, will host a monthly Q&A session on the social media platform.

Residents were invited to submit questions via the council’s Twitter account using the hashtag #AskWCBC.

The takeover saw Twitter users from Wrexham asking Cllr Pritchard about housing issues that impacted them.

Cllr Pritchard said: “This was a first for the council and I was delighted with the response we received from residents. The event was scheduled for half-and-hour but we overran by 15 minutes due to the volume of questions we received and I would like those who took time out to submit questions.

“We received a lot of pertinent questions surrounding housing – everything from the impact of the bedroom tax to our provision for affordable housing. Social media platforms such as Twitter are a great way for us to engage with our residents and I’m looking forward to making this a monthly event.”

The next Housing Q&A will take place on Friday 28th June at 11am. You can put forward your housing questions during the @wrexhamcbc Twitter takeover using the hashtag #AskWCBC.

Below is an example of some of the questions tweeted to Cllr Pritchard:
