Crowds Gather to Pay Respect in Wrexham Armistice Day Service

Crowds gathered in Wrexham Town Centre this morning to take part in the annual Armistice Day ceremony.

This morning’s ceremony at Queens Square saw hundreds turn out to pay their respects – including cadets, veterans, shoppers, council officers and local police officers.

Today’s Armistice Day began shortly before 11am with a speech by Mayor Barbara Roxburgh, before a bugler sounded the last post.

The two minute silence began at the 11th hour, of the 11th day of to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

In Coleg Cambria thousands of students gathered on the college courtyard to pay their respects
