The Crafty Dragon in Wrexham has been announced as the sponsor for the North Wales Crusaders for the rest of the current season and next.

The sponsorship deal for the rugby league club involves the Crafty Dragon becoming the “official-unofficial” club house, where fans and players can come before and after games.

In addition, the pub will be giving social media support and event support for the club.

Amy Wainscott, general manager of The Crafty Dragon, said: “I took over the Crafty in May and felt that for a pub right in the heart of the Wrexham community we needed to do more to be more of a part of the local scene and really embed ourselves within the community.

“After getting to know the area and with rugby being so big and something the town are extremely passionate about, the North Wales Crusaders just seemed like a perfect fit for us and our pub.”

The sponsorship deal covers the rugby team’s latest signing, Des Greggory.

Amy added: “Des is a fantastic new player who is already a solid contender for Try of the Year. We are delighted that he has joined the team.”
