City centre officers detail busy week with over 180 incidents reported

Over 180 incidents have been reported to city centre officers in the last week, with 24 arrests made.

NWP Wrexham Town shared the figures on their social media page to highlight the variety of incidents officers have been called to between June 1 and 6.

They include 185 incidents being reported.

NWP Wrexham Town went on to share details of several call outs which had been responded to in the last week:

  • Officers attended a tragic incident on Saturday on the Llan – Y -Pwll Link Road both the families and officers are being supported.
  • A number of domestic violence incidents have been attended with arrests having been made and support given, including breaches of bail, breaches of Non-molestation Orders and Breaches of Domestic Violence Prevention Orders.
  • One particular incident was reported by the community, officers immediately attended and arrested the suspect who was later charged and remanded for court the next day.
  •  Arrests have been made for people on warrant for failing to attend court and Recall to prison.
  • Several arrests made for thefts have been carried out, and support has been given to victims and business.
  • Wrexham Town officers have assisted officers in HGC Wrecsam Wledig / NWP Wrexham Rural to apprehend a Domestic Violence perpetrator who also assaulted two officers during the course of the incident.
  •  Officers attended an incident in Acton on Wednesday where a male has sustained serious injuries. Officers were in attendance within minutes, as was a first responder. Immediate medical assistance was given and the air ambulance were in attendance. An arrest was made within minutes of the report being received by us.
