Change to winter opening hours at two household recycling centres

Wrexham.com for people living in or visiting the Wrexham area

Opening hours at two of Wrexham’s household recycling centres will change during the winter.

From October until March 2025 both The Lodge in Brymbo and Plas Madoc recycling centres will close at 4pm.

Bryn Lane recycling centre doesn’t change its operating times for winter and closes at 8pm throughout the year.

Full opening times are displayed below.

Bryn Lane, Wrexham Industrial Estate LL13 9UT

  • Opening times: 8am – 8pm year round

The Lodge, Brymbo, Wrexham LL11 5NR

  • March 9am – 6pm
  • April to August 9am – 8pm
  • September 9am – 6pm
  • October to February 9am – 4pm

Wynnstay Bank, Plas Madoc, Wrexham LL14 3ES

  • March 9am – 6pm
  • April to August 9am – 8pm
  • September 9am – 6pm
  • October to February 9am – 4pm

All three recycling centres are open every day except Christmas Day.

Those using household recycling centres in Wrexham are asked to sort out their waste before arriving. This makes it easier to deposit straight into the correct bays.

If you arrive with your recycling unsorted, you will be on the site for much longer as this will really slow your visit down.

If you’re bringing any black bags to the recycling centres, please make sure any plastic bottles, cans etc. mistakenly placed inside have been removed and placed in your kerbside recycling, or they can be recycled in the respective recycling banks at the recycling centre.

You can also donate to the re-use shop at any of the three recycling centres; just speak to one of the attendants who’ll point you in the right direction.

Residents are also asked to make sure that they bring ID to prove that they live in the local area.
