Body of a man found in Froncysyllte

The body of a man has been found in the Froncysyllte area of Wrexham.

Shortly before 10:40am on Thursday 22 August emergency services were called to the scene following reports of a body in the water.

North Wales Police, alongside colleagues from the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust, attended the incident.

The body of a man was located and, sadly, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Formal identification is yet to take place.

North Wales Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious, and the Coroner has been informed.
