Appeal for witnesses after reports of two assaults in Brymbo

An appeal for witnesses has been launched following reports of two assaults in Brymbo.

Police say that at around Thursday 27 June at around 5pm a a man travelling on the number 12 Arriva bus to Brymbo is reported to have assaulted a passenger as he got off the bus on Edwards Avenue.

At around 5.40pm, a teenage passenger travelling on a separate number 12 Arriva bus in Brymbo was also assaulted outside the Premiere store on Offa Street, Brymbo.

A 45-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of intentional strangulation.

Sergeant Lee Owen said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have been travelling on the busses at the time, or anyone locally who witnessed any of these incidents, to make contact with us at the earliest opportunity.
