The investigation surrounding yesterday’s incident on the Llan-y-Pwll link road is ongoing say local police.

Last night police sadly confirmed a man died in a fall from the bridge over the road.

Officers are urging anybody who may have witnessed the incident and police are yet to speak to them, or anybody who may have been travelling along the A5156 prior to the road being closed and who may have dash cam or mobile phone footage to contact North Wales Police as soon as possible.

Chief Superintendent Jason Devonport of North Wales Police said: “Our profound sympathies remain with the man’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. They are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.

“We are trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding the incident and would urge anybody who may have information that could assist with the ongoing investigation to contact us as soon as possible.”

Due to the nature of the incident North Wales Police have informed the IOPC (Independent Office for Police Conduct) and the family are being kept fully informed.

Anybody with information should contact North Wales Police via the live web chat or by calling 101, quoting reference number 24000491070.
