Appeal for information after thieves steal picnic benches from Minera primary school

Police are appealing for information after thieves targeted a Wrexham school.

The theft of two of picnic benches from the grounds of Minera Voluntary Aided Church In Wales Primary School took place at 1am on June 17.

Footage released by the school shows two individuals carrying the benches from the year 5/6 garden area.

In a tweet, the school’s headteacher said: “We had some unwanted visitors this morning (17th June) at 1am who stole two picnic benches from our Year 5/6 garden area.

“We would like them returned for the children to use in their garden.”

A North Wales Police spokesperson, said: “We received reports of two benches being stolen from a garden at Minera Primary School at 1am on Thursday, June 17.

“Anyone with information can contact North Wales Police on 101 or via the web chat, quoting reference Z086416.”
