Andy’s Man Club Wrexham secures new venue for weekly support group
A peer-to-peer suicide prevention charity for men has confirmed the new venue for its Wrexham support group.
Andy’s Man Club, which meets every Monday from 7pm, had been meeting on a weekly basis at Yellow and Blue, on Eagles Meadow.
However following the announcement that the community hub would be closing its doors the charity – which aims to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health – was left looking for a new space for its meetings.
Now Andy’s Man Club has confirmed that it had secured a new venue just two doors down at Rebuild with Hope on Eagles Meadow.
In a statement posted on social media earlier this week, Andy’s Man Club Wrexham said: “The secret is out. Andy’s Man Club Wrexham have secured a new venue thanks to the kindness of Rebuild With Hope Wrexham who have given us their cafe space to use for our sessions.
“We will have a facilitator posted at our old venue for the first few weeks to catch anyone who misses this notice.
We’re not going anywhere.”
Andy’s Man Club Wrexham provides a safe for men over the age 18 from all walks of life and backgrounds to come together for free peer-to-peer mental health support.
It aims to encourage men to talk and help end the stigma which still exists around men’s mental health.
Across the UK more than 4,500 men access the sessions each week.
Andy’s Man Club Wrexham meets every Monday (excluding bank holidays) between 7pm and 9pm.
