We have had reports that the A483 Wrexham bypass northbound was temporarily closed while emergency services dealt with an incident.

We have been told by Catherine Owen who has been past the scene that a ‘lorry has crashed head on into a barrier by the petrol station by Ruabon’ , on the northbound carriageway .

Roy Lewis has tweeted to say two ambulances were on the scene as were several police cars.

North Wales Police have said the incident involves a black ford mini bus and a saxo. Two people were taken to hospital from the car, and the driver of the minibus has also been taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The road is open, however we have reports of heavy traffic in the area close to the Esso petrol station. Another has mentioned that traffic as of 3:55pm is stationary with people out of the cars walking around.

We have also had a report of a vehicle travelling the wrong way up the A483, apparently southbound, close to the Ruabon junction however there is no indication the two events are connected.
