daggParticipant
The site on the St Giles way opposite the parish church would be ideal. Bringing more people into the town centre. The site is also in the ownership of the Council. Maybe they have already made the phone call !
I’m sure when the Kings Arms pub and surrounding buildings were demolished it was so the area could be developed and a hotel was part of the planned development.
Blimey that was a few years ago.
daggParticipantThey are just as bad by the Parish church.
daggParticipantA conservation body has given the go-ahead for the demolition of the former police station in Wrexham.
Yesterday it was reported that CADW had been considering listing the high-rise building, which was vacated by the last remaining officers at the station in January.
A new multi-million pound Eastern Command and Custody Facility is already up and running in nearby Llay.
However it has now been revealed it is not worthy of being listed for its architectural or historical merit.Good decision.
daggParticipantThis has got to be a joke. Can I press the button to blow it up.
daggParticipant
A series of Wakes would be more appropriate, but I doubt the dim-witted, racist brexit voters will understand that. No need to comment, I’m out of here.
Good.
I’m sure you will be hanging around to see if you get a reply.
daggParticipant
I must confess I had to do some Googling to find out what you were referring to – fascinating past Wrexham has.
Pubs these days seem dull in comparison.
Someone actually had a picture of the cockle man up on Twitter – so not sure if accurate:
Love this bit about the Raglan from Wrexham History.
The Raglan Arms had a certain reputation that’s for sure with some of the many regulars being referred to as ‘The Barmy Raglan Army’. In the early 1980’s it was reputed to have the best Jukebox of any of the Wrexham pubs of that time.

Then there’s an outstanding photo from the Regent Tavern of the bar and one of its landlords Griff Robinson

I remember them all.
daggParticipantStevens Café, I remember it was their Saturday night gone Sunday morning.
daggParticipantI blame Brexit.

daggParticipantI remember helping a African Prince with money, but he never got back to me.
daggParticipantProblem is that Theresa May is a remainer therefore the wrong person to negotiate a Brexit deal.
