Wrexham Council already has a Transport Grant from Welsh Government to subsidise certain routes after 6.00pm and on a Sunday.
The grant funding has also been used for electronic bus signage — that does not work and also car park signage – oh yes this does not work either.
The question to be asked us how are the Council using their transport grants and is it effective as it could be?
I hope you are not suggesting our council don’t know what they are doing with their money.

Arriva have rerouted the Penycae bus to replace the No 6 Ruabon starting January I think. It will be interesting to see if they put the Llangolllen bus back to the old route.

Going home from watching a Wrexham match, was crossing Watery road buy the level crossing, the crossing gates were starting to close when a car came speeding from town overtook a line of cars and straight through the crossing, it was never going to stop. Couldn’t believe it. Have seen incidents like that on TV but that was unbelievable.

I noticed it was done by a company from Cardiff, couldn’t someone from Wrexham have done it?.
Needle exchanges are available at:
Wrexham CDAT, Swn-y-Coed, Grove Road, Wrexham, LL11 1DY
AND
Detox Unit, Hafan Wen, Watery Road, Wrexham, LL13 7NQ

The number to call to report needles is:
Pride in Our Streets (street Scene) – 01978 298989

OR
email them on [email protected]
OR complete the online form at https://www.wrexham.gov.uk/english/env_services/service_requests/syringes.cfm

Needles can also be disposed of at any GPs or pharmacy.

How anyone can say there’s no way to report it, or there’s no needle exchange is beyond me, and simply strikes me as apathy from some of the general public, for which we have a strong representative sample of the apathetic population right here on this forum.

If you want to see fewer needles in public spaces, you need to report it and support the ‘authorities’ in keeping the county clean. The problem isn’t with the ‘authorities’ (as you can see above) to fix, as there’s plenty of opportunity for exchange or disposal, it lies with the users. Clearly the users don’t give a fig, it’s therefore up to the public to report any needles that they spot.

Want to propose any other solutions?
I can honestly say I did not know the number existed until today. So I had no way of reporting needles.

Yes I walked down there today, also there was a couple of mobile scooters driving along there which didn’t leave much room.

Maybe if a TV company made a programme about Wrexham police something might get done. It seems to work for other police forces, they always seem to catch criminals when the cameras are there.
